Used Snowmobiles
Purchasing a snowmobile used is a much cheaper solution if you don't have the cash to spend on a new vehicle. A new snowmobile can go for $500-$1000 and up. Good snowmobiles with higher speed capability can run upwards of $2,000.
A
used snowmobile will take some of that pricetag away. A friend of mine recently purchased a nice red ATV for $450 used. A lot of the time, people will take trades too, which is great. Mechanics especially, and those that like to take things apart and put them back together, will make trades. Often a part may not work on a snowmobile and the owner will trade it for something else they need.
When driving around in the country, always look for used snowmobiles with for sale signs on them. More then likely should you stop to ask about the vehicle, the owner will let it go for whatever is offered as it's been sitting there a long time.
